Mavi Marmara in Israel Attack, Jakarta - Indonesian government strongly condemned the Israeli military attacks against the group Mavi Marmara ships that sail into Gaza carrying humanitarian mission. The government is also ready to cooperate with the international community to ensure that Israel is responsible for this attack."We condemn Israel. We condemn the Israeli attacks," said Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa told reporters at Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (31/05/2010).
Marty added that the government will cooperate with the international community to ensure Israel's responsibility. The government will invite non-aligned countries and the countries members of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to ensure Israel because Israel is responsible for actions considered to have developed that inhibit teciptanya peace.
The government will also coordinate bilaterally and multilaterally with the Palestinians by the UN.
"Quite obviously the Israeli violation of international law. Israel's blockade of Gaza is a violation of international law. There is no basis to ambush or blocked vessels in the territory of Gaza," explained Marty.
