DETROIT-Manufacturer United States (U.S.), Ford, announced it would soon introduce truks super duty F-450 and F-550 is capable of using CNG and LPG fuel.
Starting later this year, the second truck will be equipped with 6.8 liter V8 engine capable of running on CNG fuel sources as well as LPG. Thus quoted from Autoevolution.
"Both sources of fuel that offers more than enough power for as high energy fuel, other than that stays low exhaust gas emissions than gasoline or diesel fuel," explained Chief Engineer Commercial Vehicle Ford, Rob Stevens.
To be able to swallow the fuel gas, both conventional engine Ford truck was already dealing with changes to the set of valves in order to have sufficient resistance to the use of gas fuel systems.
It turns out Ford's desire to target a broader customer especially those who are now increasingly considering alternative energy in all its activities including the matter of the vehicle.
"Customers are now switching to Ford because the products we offer to provide alternative energy solutions are still concerned about the quality, fuel efficiency, as well as a strong resale value," added Director, Ford North America, Kevin Koswick.
